SAFEGUARDING / CLEAR BOUNDARIES

SAFETY IS A TEAM EFFORT.

A culture of care, clear limits and trained human judgement. This platform is not an emergency service.

IF SOMEONE IS IN IMMEDIATE DANGER

Call 999 in the UK. Under-19s can also contact Childline on 0800 1111 for support. RWM is not monitored 24/7. Urgent help must not depend on this site being available.

THE BOUNDARIES IN V1

There is no unrestricted youth chat, direct messaging, public personal profile, live location sharing or arbitrary adult-to-child contact. Youth and adult community spaces are separate.

Public stories and activities need editorial and safeguarding checks. Parent forum posts are reviewed before publication. Report and hide controls are available to verified adult participants.

HUMAN SAFEGUARDING DECISIONS

Ask RWM submissions enter a restricted intake queue. Assigned safeguarding officers can access encrypted messages and protected notes; accesses and actions are logged. High-risk cases are never answered by AI or automatically resolved.

We cannot promise absolute confidentiality. Staff may need to share information lawfully when there is a risk of serious harm. Notifications must avoid sensitive details. A named safeguarding lead and escalation procedure must be published before live intake opens.

COMMUNITY RULES

Treat people with respect. No threats, discrimination, exploitation, weapons promotion, personal targeting or sharing private information. Do not identify children through allegations, diagnoses, exact locations or private disclosures.

Do not submit detailed admissions of offences or evidence through ordinary forms. Potential legal evidence intake is disabled. Moderators can reject or remove posts; serious concerns must be routed to safeguarding staff.

PROVIDERS AND ACTIVITIES

Providers need manual identity, policy and role-appropriate eligibility checks. Activities need reviewed risk assessments, age eligibility, supervision, access information and event consent. A DBS check is not a substitute for a safeguarding process.

Demo activities have not been checked, are not endorsed and cannot be booked.
